This organisation in a charming town in the South-Eest of Turkey is looking for volunteers to work with children and learn everything about local traditions, food, handcrafts and more.
Your main activities will be working with children as an assistant in English classes and speaking clubs both in schools and in the community center which is aimed at children and youth of less priviliged backgrounds. We have different local partners that we team up with, so you will get in touch with children and youth in different situations. You will also help organise small events and celebrations such as walks, excursions, cultural nights and sports activities. The organisation also organises training programs,
seminars and conferences for the older youth.
Meanwhile, you will attend trainings, activities and workshops about sustainability and recycling, handcraft, content creation and effective social media use. Siirt has many local traditions and cultures to learn from, with many Kurdish and Arabic families living in the area as well.
